Our Story

A Name That Carries Weight

Not every girl grows up with a Nattie Mae.
This foundation exists to change that.

— Tiffany Brenae, Founding Director

The Nattie Mae Foundation was founded in honor of a grandmother whose life was a masterclass in what leadership truly looks like — not the kind with titles and applause, but the kind lived quietly through sacrifice, discipline, faith, and unwavering commitment to family and community.

Growing up in her presence meant witnessing a standard. A way of moving through the world with integrity. A way of leading without losing yourself.

That standard is now the foundation of everything we build. Every lesson, every session, every conversation with a young girl is rooted in values that have already stood the test of time.

Her name is not just attached to this foundation — it is the foundation.

The Academy

Nattie Mae Leadership Academy

A structured 12-week curriculum that moves girls from uncertain to confident, from passive to purpose-driven, from influenced to influential.

MODULE 01

Identity & Confidence

Girls define their strengths, build self-awareness, and learn to express themselves with confidence rooted in who they truly are — not who others expect them to be.

MODULE 02

Emotional Intelligence

Participants develop tools to identify, understand, and communicate their emotions effectively — building the inner strength that makes outer leadership possible.

MODULE 03

Leadership Foundations

Girls learn to distinguish real leadership from popularity — and build an ownership mindset rooted in accountability, not excuses.

MODULE 04

Discipline & Life Skills

Goal-setting, time management, and productive habits are developed through practical workshops that girls can apply immediately in their daily lives.

MODULE 05

Purpose & Vision

Participants create personal vision plans, practice public speaking, and begin to see their future not as something that happens to them — but something they build.

MODULE 06

Community Impact

Girls complete a real-world leadership project and present their growth at a formal graduation ceremony — leaving as leaders, not just participants.

For Parents & Girls

Your daughter deserves a space where she can grow into who she was made to be.

The Nattie Mae Leadership Academy is a free, structured 12-week program for girls ages 11–17. We provide a safe, supportive environment where young women are challenged, encouraged, and equipped — not just motivated.

Every session is intentionally designed. Every mentor is carefully selected. Every girl leaves with something real: skills, community service hours, a completed leadership project, and a certificate of completion.

Community impact project

For Community Partners

Your space. Our program. Together, we build the next generation of leaders.

We are seeking mission-aligned organizations — churches, community centers, schools, and nonprofits — willing to provide space and support for our Summer 2026 pilot cohort in DFW and New Orleans.

As a Founding Community Partner, your organization becomes part of something that will grow far beyond this first summer. You are not just lending a room — you are helping launch a movement.

What We're Asking For

A safe, accessible meeting space for 12 consecutive weeks

Availability for 1–2 sessions per week (90 minutes each)

A point of contact for coordination and communication

Optional: help spreading the word to girls in your community

What Your Organization Receives

Named as a Founding Community Partner in all program materials

Full pilot impact report upon program completion

First right of continued partnership as the foundation grows

The knowledge that your space helped launch something built to last

The Nattie Mae Foundation is currently in the process of completing its formal nonprofit registration. Our program and curriculum are fully developed and ready to launch. We are building this with integrity and long-term sustainability in mind.

For Mentors & Volunteers

You don't have to be perfect. You just have to show up — consistently.

Mentors are the heartbeat of this program. Every 5–8 girls is paired with a mentor who guides, encourages, and holds them accountable throughout the 12 weeks.

We are looking for women who have lived something — who have navigated challenges, developed discipline, and are willing to pour that into the next generation.

What Mentors Do

Guide a small group of 5–8 girls through the 12-week curriculum

Attend weekly or bi-weekly sessions

Participate in mentor orientation training provided by NMLA

Track participant progress and provide consistent encouragement

Complete a required background check (we cover the cost)

What Mentors Receive

Permanent recognition as a Founding Mentor of the NMLA

Mentor orientation and training materials

The opportunity to shape how this program grows for years to come

What We Stand On

Core Values

Every session, every conversation, every decision is guided by five values that Nattie Mae herself lived every day.

Empowerment

We equip girls with the confidence and tools to take full ownership of their lives and futures.

Integrity

We teach honesty, accountability, and doing what is right — especially when it is hard.

Resilience

We help girls navigate challenges and build the emotional strength to rise from any setback.

Leadership

We develop decision-makers, not followers — girls who lead with purpose, not pressure.

Sisterhood

We create safe spaces where girls feel truly seen, genuinely supported, and deeply valued.

Get Involved

Join the Movement

We are building something that will outlast a single summer. Whether you are a parent ready to enroll your daughter, an organization with space to share, or a woman ready to mentor — there is a place for you here.

For Parents

Registration for our Summer 2026 pilot is now open. Space is limited to 10–20 girls per location. Fill out the form to express interest and we will follow up with details specific to your city.

For Organizations

If your church, community center, or school has space available and a heart for young women — we want to talk. A 20-minute conversation is all it takes to get started.
